Nana Yaa has been on but off the Ghanaian musical scene for a while. Although she had not been doing mainstream music for a while, she was lead backing vocalist on Sonnie Badu’s Baba and six other songs on that album, working with Tagoe Sisters and other prominent artistes in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Her comeback and rebranding comes at a time when her love for highlife heightened while she yearned to sell herself as an African and Ghanaian artist which is now working for her. She’s working on her own songs, two to which she’s recently released videos; Biako Ye and Handkerchief. As a songwriter, she’s yet to release an E.P titled Nouvelle Amour which means New Love in French and promises to reveal a side of her that fans have not heard or seen.
