Sarkodie wishes that diplomatic passports will be given to artists to make
invitations to other countries less of a hustle.
According to the BET awardee, musicians play a major ambassadorial role
in their countries by putting them on the global map.
Addressing the media in Paris, he expressed his concerns over how tedious
a task is to acquire travel documents for African artists which distracts
their appearances on international stages.
I don’t have to hustle trying to go spread the good news about my own
country. As artists, we are also ambassadors who shine more light on our
country and need to own diplomatic passports so it will be easier for artists
when traveling,” he said.
The rapper said this ahead of the ‘Accra in Paris’ concert which was held on
Saturday, April 23, 2022.
