ROCKY DAWRUNI BAGS 2ND GRAMMY NOMINATION.
Rocky Dawuni made an appearance at the 64th Grammys award over the
weekend in Las Vegas where he had a nomination with his Voice Of
Bonbon’s album together with other nominees such as Daniel Ho and
friends, Femi Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, and Wizkid in the Best Global Music
Album same category.
Arriving on the Grammys Award Red Carpet, the Ghanaian Reggae icon in a
knee white length kaftan with the left side covered with colorful
embroidery expressed excitement,”It’s really an amazing day to be here
representing my people of Ghana and also Africa for the best Global Music
Album and I feel and honored to be in this moment, to be a person that is
pushing our music to the rest of the world. It’s a good day for Africa Rather,
the reggae icon lost the category award to the Beninese singer Angelique
Kidjo , with her, “Mother Of Nature” album.
